Weekend brunch has become something of a ritual in East London. In this snug corner of the capital, it’s 2 hours of inevitably boozy fun surrounded by stacks of pancakes, granola and fruit yoghurt, or the biggest Full English money can buy.
Rivington Shoreditch have truly embraced the spirit of brunch, with their new no-holds barred weekend menu. In addition to all the above, truffled mac and cauliflower cheese, eggs benedict, florentine or royale; and the neo-classic smashed avocado on toast with a poached egg are also on offer. The stonkingly good full veggie is a rainbow plate of goodness, the perfect antidote to any hangover blues.
The lovingly-curated drinks menu is not to be overlooked either. Alcoholic charms like the rhubarb and ginger bellini or the simply marvellous tipsy tea (earl grey gin, chambord and citrus-y delight) are top-notch, but the loose leaf teas or the freshly squeezed orange or pink grapefruit juices are worthy competitors.
A little off the beaten track, Rivington Shoreditch is an excellent hideaway for those challenging Saturday mornings or lazy rainy Sundays.
Brunch is available from 11am-4pm on Saturdays and 11am-1pm on Sundays.
